The Elite Model Look contest is a prestigious event open to beginners with a professional goal: looking for and discovering the young hopefuls who will become the future top models.
Each year, Elite Model Look competition sees over 350,000 female contestants between Age 14 to 22, attending national casting held in over 80 countries around the world.
For the 28th consecutive year, Elite is organizing the most prestigious modeling contest in the world offering thousands of girls the opportunity to achieve their dream and follow in the footstep of top models.
Throughout the years, Elite Model Look competition has offered many younggirls a chance to start a career of international model at the highest level. The winners are not only selected for their photogenic qualities, their personality and their natural beauty but also for their potential to correspond to current fashion trends.
From a rigorous selection progress, at least one contestant in each country is elected in the National Final and gets to participate in the main event: the international final, with $325,000 of modeling contract at stake.
Elite representatives from PARIS will choose the finalists from the National Finals in Lagos August 16 2011.
Selected contestants will be accommodated in Augustfor a week of intensive grooming. This training will cover all the professional aspects of modeling. The 14finalists will experience and undergo fitness training, makeovers, nutrition lectures, professional photo sessions as well as a run through of the event.
Elite model look Nigeria Finale would be held in September 3rd2011 at the Civic Center Lagos, Nigeria

To take part in one of the Elite Model Look castings, applicants must be:
- Female
- A Nigerian Citizen
- The age between 14 and 23
- At least 5’8 in or 172cm tall
- Must have no signed contract with any Agency in Nigeria (Very important)
- Must be ready to travel abroad
- A genuine interests a modeling career.

NyashaMatonhodze entered the modeling world just two years ago after winning Elite Model Look UK competition in 2009.
The student was scouted in the street in her Northampton Shire home country by the model agency and invited down to London to take part in the contest.
The schoolgirl, who arrived for her first casting wearing her school uniform - experienced a meteoric rise through the echelons of the fashion industry, with an impressive debut season that saw her walking for shows including Louise Gray, Clements Ribeiro, Jonathan Saunders during London Fashion Week SS11 as well as Loewe, Emanuel Ungaro, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Louis Vuitton in Paris.
