Rihanna proudly shows off her nipples in yet another daring outfit
The Barbadian star wore a see-through black jumper that showed off her assets and toned stomach through strategically placed netting, making it quite clear what she had to offer.
She teamed her explicit top with blue denim jeans, large hoop earrings, her trademark dark black shades and lashings of red lip-stick to make it that bit more raunchy.
The We Found Love singer was also sporting new blonde locks for her night out despite last week appearing to have briefly returned to her brunette colour after posting a Twitter picture.
But while she usually saves her raunchiest attire for her performances on stage, this sexy number was saved for dinner with some pals in New York's swanky Italian restaurant Da Silvano.
However, despite having to have bundles of confidence to wear this jumper, which Rihanna certainly seems to have, at one point it appeared the blonde beauty was fed up with all of the attention she was getting as she was seen trying to cover her modesty with her hand.
While the 24-year-old star is happy to show off her assets, reports have emerged her former religious guide and family friend Bishop Vibert Lowe is worried about her sexy displays and is desperate for her to tone down her image.

Oprah Winfrey Network sacks 30 employees
Oprah Winfrey's struggling television network, OWN, said Monday it is laying off one-fifth of its workers and restructuring its operations in New York and Los Angeles.
The decision to let 30 employees go is a "tough" one, but the economics of a start-up cable network didn't fit with OWN's cost structure, Winfrey said in a statement.
The responsibilities of the laid-off workers will be distributed among people with the network and its venture partners, Discovery Communications and Winfrey's Harpo Studios, according to OWN.
Discovery executives will take a more active role in the channel, according to the announcement.
Neal Kirsch, chief financial officer of Discovery's U.S. networks, will move to OWN as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer, reporting to OWN presidents Erik Logan and Sheri Salata.
John MacDonald had decided to exit as OWN's COO, Logan said
Another Discovery executive, Lee Bartlett, will have joint oversight of business and legal affairs with an OWN vice president, Tina Perry.
OWN started as an ambitious new platform for Winfrey after she stepped away from her long-running, top-rated daytime talk show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show." But viewership for OWN shows have been largely unimpressive, with one example being a short-lived Rosie O'Donnell talk show that was cancelled last week.
OWN got a burst of viewer attention this month for Winfrey's exclusive interview with Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, which drew 3.5 million viewers, the channel's biggest audience to date.
The decision to let 30 employees go is a "tough" one, but the economics of a start-up cable network didn't fit with OWN's cost structure, Winfrey said in a statement.
"As CEO, I have a responsibility to chart the course for long-term success for the network. To wholly achieve that long-term success, this was a necessary next step," Winfrey said.
The cable channel, which launched Jan. 1, 2011, endured a freshman year of executive turnover and missteps that proved OWN lacked a solid foundation on which to build. This was despite a Discovery Communications investment of a reported $250 million and counting.

From the start, OWN failed to improve on, or in some instances even match, the modest ratings and small audience earned by the low-profile Discovery Health channel it replaced.
As the new channel struggled for footing, Winfrey stepped in behind the scenes and became CEO and chief creative officer of OWN, bringing in her Harpo leadership team of Logan and Salata as presidents. She also increased her on-camera profile with "Oprah's Next Chapter."
"I would absolutely say it is and was not where I want it to be for year one," Winfrey said in December. "My focus up until (last) May was doing what I do best, which is 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' and giving that my full attention" until its conclusion.
Since September, according to OWN, it's seen a double-digit increase in ratings and a network high cumulative of 40 million viewers per month.
"We're very bullish on the evolution of our network," Logan said Monday.
The channel is banking on a boost from the second-season returns of "Oprah's Life Class" and the reality series "Welcome to Sweetie Pie's."
There are no immediate plans to launch a talk show with a new host to replace O'Donnell, he said.

How Commercial Music Tend To Sell More Than Conscious Music In Nigeria
Over the years, Nigerian music has always been an eclectic combination of both Western and indigenous styles of music. It contains their culture reflecting in our kind of music and this is as a result of the changes in our orientation over time due to the way we emulate the Western culture. The evolution was gradual from time to time. A quick inference can be drawn from the transformation of the music of Oliver De Couque, Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade, Kuti and so on to the style of Tuface Idibia, P-Square, D’Banj etc. Commercial music sprang up in the evolution process and brought about more sophistication and it naturally became more recognized than the conscious type of music. M.I, a renowned contemporary rapper said in his debut single “Crowd Mentality” that no matter how you try to sing about the truth, it would not change a thing as the world is screaming “Please Entertain Us”. This statement undoubtedly draws our consciousness to the fact that commercial music is what an average listener wants to consume. Although this trend is dominant in Nigeria, it has exhibited itself in the international hip hop scene bringing about the decline of genres like conscious rap, political hip hop and the rise of electro hop, hip house and alternative rap.
Commercial music is now recurrent, strike that; like an old “Iroko Tree”, commercial music has a solid footing in the music industry. Observations have shown that Nigerians are happy people; they do not want to be held down with their problems or the fact that they have problems, hence “dance away their sorrows”, an opportunity commercial music provides abundantly. Ruggedman, a respected artiste in the industry once said that if you play any Nigerian song in a party, it suggests that you want the party to come to an end, but nowadays foreign songs are hardly played in such gatherings. It can be argued that this is a result of the improvement of the quality of Nigerian music or the commercial force which they now possess.
Tons of artistes have emerged over time and have been able to interprete the minds and thoughts of the people into danceable rhythms, make music that revolves around the lifestyle of youths and even as far as recording songs in a convenient key or pitch to enable listeners sing along with ease. They also portray the daily street life, happenings that occur in our society in a comical way, so people tend to relate with it more than the deep conscious music which most times might be melancholic in nature. The importation of street slangs and some uncensored words into music has also helped commercial music thrive to a large extent and made it very phlegmatic. All these makes a commercial artiste push more records than a conscious one. Case study: Wande Coal and GT Tha Guitarman; they are both very good vocalists but the guitar strummer’s music is more conscious while the “Mo’ Hits” belter has his aim at clubs, parties, streets and so on. Therefore his musical style has gained him popularity and record sales while the reverse is the case for the latter. Commercial music has created room for social groups like group dancers to choreograph eye-popping routines with might be a little difficult to accomplish with conscious music. Youths love going to social centres, parties, clubs to mention a few, and a typical deep or conscious song which preaches about the truth or change in the society cannot fit in those kind of settings hence commercial music has the upper hand. Talking about the use of slang and importation of words; Lynxxx and Saucekid imported words “Utunu”and “Sinzu” respectively just to have a distinctive edge not forgetting eLDee Tha Don’s use of the phrase “Na Wash” which is slowly becoming a part of Nigeria’s popular culture.
Nonetheless, there is a part of the population that consumes deep and conscious music. These types of people are very circumspect about the type of music they listen to and most times condemn commercial music, tagging it a myopic type of music. The sad thing is that most Nigerians lack the patience to listen to convincing and cogent of conscious music and the melancholic situations discussed in them. They feel it isobscure, so conscious music hardly functions in social situations. There is also the Nigerian society, which is a clumsy one. Patience is not in abundance yet commercial music which are embellished with a lot of immoral words which are not socially appropriate find success. Yet the presence of stans of deep and conscious music in the Nigerian music scene cannot be undermined, they choose what they listen to and the music they make due to taste and do not want to jump into the bandwagon just to distinct themselves. Modenine, Yemi Sax, GT Tha Guitarman, Overdose and Etcetera can be argued to fall in this group. Notwithstanding, some artistes pass conscious message in a commercial way, they spice up the lyrics and make it satirical, accompanied by a memorable groovy instrumentation. Afro-pop singer Omawumi achieved this in her song “If U Ask Me (Na Who I Go Ask)”, which brought much needed attention to child molestation; other artistes that have explored this style include Sound Sultan, eLDee Tha Don, 2Face Idibia, African China etc.
Without a doubt commercial music has reached its crescendo in the Nigerian music scene and it is unshakable, at least for the time being. In a nutshell, both kinds of music are still relevant because they will have their pool of listeners even if that of commercial music is larger. The need for reflection would arise from time to time and deep or conscious would come to play.

SAMPLE PICTURESBobbi Kristina's relationship with adopted brother annoys her grandmother
Gospel singer Cissy Houston, mother of the late Whitney Houston, reportedly is dismayed that her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is romantically involved with Nick Gordon, whom her daughter took in as a child and raised.
The Houston family matriarch lamented to a friend that while Brown, 19, and Gordon, 22, are not blood relations, she considers a romance between them "incestuous" and wants him out of Whitney Houston's home.
The celebrity-news site also ran a photo of Brown strolling with Gordon and wearing a large ring, which has spawned speculation of a possible engagement.
Whitney Houston's brother, Michael, told ABC News that Gordon was "like a son" to her. The late singer invited him to live with her over a decade ago, TMZ said, after his biological mother could no longer care for him.
Gordon, whom ABC described as a tech-company partner who still lives in Houston's house outside Atlanta, hinted at the relationship in a Twitter post: "We're just close -- just going through her mom's passing and grieving together.
"Yea we got a little closer and what!!!" he wrote. Gordon then urged "All the haters that don't know us" or the real story to unfollow him on Twitter.
In her recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Brown did not address her relationship with Gordon. However, msnbc.com reported she has been retweeting support sent to her on Twitter, including this comment: "If people don't understand that's their problem. Do what makes you happy."

THE GENESIS OF THE MO'HIT BREAK-UP
It’s official. All the speculations and rumours, fuelled by reports of the supposed feud between Mo’Hits producer extraordinaire Don Jazzy and Koko master D’banj, can finally be laid to rest. The once enviable and highly admired partnership between the seemingly inseparable pair is now a subject of Nigerian musical history.
This much was revealed by Don Jazzy himself on Saturday, March 17, 2012, via popular micro blogging site, Twitter. After apologizing for his long absence on the site, he tweeted the following:
‘It is with a heavy heart I announce the end of a long era and the beginning of a new one. Some of the rumours you have all heard are sad but true… and to end the old era I will be donating the proceeds of my production catalogue from day 1 till date to 5 charity organizations. Thanks. IDJA’.
NET also gathered that the prolific producer and Mo’Hits president has symbolically ended the nine year partnership by moving out of the Lekki mansion he once shared with D’banj for a new pad in NICON Estate, around the peninsula.
D’banj, on the other hand, has reportedly relocated, at least for now, to the US. Last week, he made a brief and very secret visit to the country apparently to put a few things in order. Up till D’banj boarded his return flight to the United States on Friday, March 16, 2012, we’re told the pair did not meet, despite desperate efforts by close friends to bring them together.
Things have now gone beyond reconciliation, with both parties already setting in gear preparations to float separate record labels; leaving friends, fans and followers in shock and confusion, and an entire industry sad. We’ve confirmed that D’banj is looking at starting his KOKO Music, another subsidiary of his KOKO Ventures, while Don Jazzy will follow suit with his own label, which remains unnamed for now. Both acts are to continue their separate deals with G.O.O.D. Music.
The question now is: what becomes of the rest of the Mo’Hits clan – Dr SID, Wande Coal, D’Prince and Kay Switch? Apparently, for them to move on, both label heads have to reach an agreement as to how to wind down their contracts. The acts are unsure of where their careers are going at this point.
Apart from Don Jazzy who spoke out through his Twitter page, Saturday, no one is speaking officially on the situation. But several insiders have told us the situation is ‘worse than you can ever imagine’; claiming ‘Dr SID, D’banj’s mom, ego, money and gossips are key factors responsible for the brouhaha’.
‘There have been cracks in Mo’Hits for some time, not just between D’banj and Jazzy, but even within the acts and so many other issues. It was only a matter of time before things completely collapse’, said a source who worked with the label until last year. ‘It’s sad to see things turn out this way, because theirs was a winning formula. But I knew it was always going to happen’, concluded the source who asked not to be named.
Over the weekend, D’banj released the highly anticipated video to his monster Don Jazzy-produced single ‘Oliver’. Directed by usual suspect Sesan Ogunro (who has become the official Mo’Hits media expert) it doesn’t feature any Mo’Hits artists, but his G.O.O.D Music colleagues Big Sean, Pusha T and label boss Kanye West himself, are prominent. Kanye is seen at the end at D’banj’s side, a position once occupied by Don Jazzy. Welcome to the post Mo’Hits era.
HOW THEY MET
Everyone knows their story – how Don Jazzy was a musician with the Solek Crew, and D’banj, a wannabe artiste who eagerly wanted to be heard. As members of JJC’s 419 Squad based in London, they rolled and performed together, waiting for the big break.
After a couple of major awards and signs of promise, they left JJC’s squad after refusing to sign a contract with his Backbone Music. It remains uncertain who convinced who, but the pair agreed on a partnership and would soon move back to Nigeria…
REAL REASONS FOR BREAK UP: No one can say for sure that there’s one main reason the hitherto inseparable partners are breaking up. We’ve been told it’s ‘more complicated than anyone can imagine’, with many talking about issues ranging from women and money, to breach of trust, ego, and outside influence
THOSE WHO INTERVENED: There are several people who wanted to make sure the Mo’Hits partnership never went down. Many influential Nigerians, within and outside the entertainment industry allegedly waged in, hoping to nip the crisis in the bud and save what many have referred to as the most successful music industry partnership of this generation. From Lagos to Abuja and New York, mutual friends and associates – including one Mo’Hits investor, and Don Jazzy’s father – worked the phones and made desperate moves, but it all came to naught…
WHO OWNS MO’HITS?: That’s the million Naira question. Following D’banj’s controversial Ebony interview, and Don Jazzy’s announcement of the end of a long era and the beginning of a new one, many are now desperate to find out what the CAC documents on Mo’Hits actually say. The company’s website credits Don Jazzy as founder and CEO, even the Mo’Hits logo carries Jazzy’s signature walking stick – but could a coup have happened?

10 reasons Don Jazzy loses
Okay, first let me say I am firmly #TeamDonJazzy. Well, not really. I am #TeamMoHits. But if (perhaps, when?) D’banj and Don Jazzy do finally – officially – break up, I am unquestionably #TeamDonJazzy. So, understandably, now that he is being played as the underdog in the unfolding drama over a rumoured split, I find myself taking his side.
But that’s just emotions. When it comes down to the cold, hard numbers – who stands to lose the most if the two partners split? I say Don Jazzy, and I have my reasons below.
1. Dbanj has Kanye (at least as far as the eyes can see)
Going by the release of today’s Oliver Twist, we are at least certain that D’banj is still in cahoots with the almighty, Kanye West. Do you really think he can lose with the mystique and power of Kanye behind him – will Kanye allow his latest African experiment fail? I doubt it seriously.
2. D’banj is the performer
People always forget that the love that fans have for performers is strong even if the performers screw up – reference everyone from Michael Jackson to Whitney Houston. Check this out -9ice cheated on his wife, betrayed the friend that discovered him and abandoned his producer, but do his fans love him less? Hell no. The day after the disastrous Sahara Reporters interview, did D’banj have a sold out concert in New York no matter what anyone, including YNaija said? Hell yeah! Morale? As long as he continues to give the public the ‘Koko’ it is fine – and D’banj has it.
3. Don Jazzy’s losing it
Don Jazzy’s biggest power is his mystique. Over the past three months it has steadily gone. There is that weird interview with Genevieve magazine, there’s the even weirder interview with Hip Hop World Awards, where he appeared to diss rappers and then ran to his website to give a watery apology. Then there was his limpy Jonathan repudiation and his When-I-speak-they-read-it-in-Aso-Rock nonsense. Then there’s the fact that he is attending too many events; and worse off, that forgettable live performance with Tiwa Savage. Don Jazzy, backing up Tiwa?! Without D’banj by his side in any of these; the superstar power from which he feeds off, Don Jazzy has only been diminished.
4. Dbanj is also an astute businessman
The big mistake we’ve made is to stereotype D’banj. We’ve always assumed he is the entertainer and Don Jazzy is the entrepreneur, but is that truly the case? No. Insiders will tell you that just the same way Don Jazzy has multitasked as Producer-and-Businessman, D’banj has also multitasked as Performer-and-Businessman. It’s a mistake people also make with Chocolate City and EME where they think MI and Banky don’t know the business. Not true. Those guys get the business – and D’banj is no pushover.
5. Was Don Jazzy really the boss?
So yes, in the public eye, every time D’banj wanted to say something, he had to first have Don Jazzy whisper into his ears, so he just had to be Don Jazzy’s boy, right? Oh please. Do you really think Don Jazzy was telling him anything that they hadn’t already discussed and rehearsed at home? It’s show-business! It’s an act! D’banj wasn’t Don Jazzy’s boy – they were business partners. Just because he held the microphone to his crutch every times he gets doesn’t make him dumb.
6. Get off the stage!
I know I have mentioned this before – but still, why is Don Jazzy diluting his brand by performing? And why was he backing up Tiwa Savage ehn? No one began to admire him because of his performance; we admired him exactly because he did not perform. He doesn’t dress well, doesn’t speak well, had a croaky voice and frankly isn’t easy on the eye. He needs to go back to the background fast. Seriously.
7. The ‘H’ word
So I always hear this funny story about how Don Jazzy is so humble. You know, because he used to give out credit on Twitter, he responds to people on Twitter and whatever else. And so, people say, this humility will serve him well as opposed to D’banj’s insufferable arrogance. Dear Lord, save us from the dangers of image-making. In fact, for those who have actually worked with the man – or tried to book him for an interview – you know this is just too funny. I’ll just move on before I say more.
8. Don Jazzy has magic fingers, we all say
But does he really? We always assume his beat is so unique that it has transformed the careers of Dr. Sid, D’Prince, Wande Coal and K-Switch. Let’s analyse this urban legend. First, D’Prince and K-Switch still have no careers – that is unless you consider hanging around Don Jazzy or D’banj a career. Wande Coal’s power is his voice not his producer. Dr. Sid has just about one or two hit songs. So, perhaps we over-estimate Don Jazzy’s prowess. Did this famous prowess transform Ikechukwu’s career? Not that I can remember. Did it make of the songs he produced for Naeto C, heavy hits? Not that I know of. Did it make Darey’s music any more hits than those produced by others? Not in the least. So what are we saying?
9. Don Jazzy is boring
Seriously, how is he going to manage to interface with the public without D’banj? Have you heard Don Jazzy speak? Have you sat down for 30 minutes with the man? At least D’banj can quickly start talking of Kokolets and Babylets and Mamalets and any lets that can let him avoid answering intelligent questions. But Don Baba J? There’s fire on the mountain oh.
10. Do you really care for Mohits without D’banj?
Take your time and think about this. Would Mo’ Hits be a compelling label with Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, K-Switch and D’Prince alone (why am I even calling K-Switch’s name in this matter?)? You know the truth is no. The magic of that team has always been D’banj. No one wants to see any yeye ‘Mo’Hits All Stars’ without D’banj. When they perform, D’banj makes the difference. D’banj is the icing on the cake. D’banj is also the flour in the cake. In fact, D’banj is the cake.
So there you have it – and please do not tell me both will succeed. Who’re ya trying to fool? Every time there is a break up, someone wins and someone loses. 2face won and Faze lost, 2face won and Blackface lost, 2face won and Kennis lost, Olu Maintain won and what-his-name lost, Tony Tetuila won, and then Eedris won, and Eddie is still losing, 9ice won and ID lost (we love Toni Payne, so we’ll leave her out of this). I can go on and on. Someone will get the short-end of the stick in this case. And my money, sadly, is on Don Jazzy.
But I’d be glad to be proven wrong. Oh so glad.
In the meantime, biko, Don Jazzy and D’banj; if you are breaking up, just break up already – which one is all this drama?

RIHANNA REUNITES WITH CHRIS BROWN FOR CAREER REASONS
RIHANNA has defended her decision to reunite in the recording studio with the ex who brutally beat her back in 2009.
The ambitious singer claims it's purely a career decision and she handpicked Chris Brown for the job because he's the "hottest R&B artist out there right now".
The pair performed together on two songs — she leant her voice to his hit Turn Up The Music and he sang on Rih's track Birthday Cake.
Both tracks were released last month, almost three years to the day after the vicious attack that left Rihanna bloodied and bruised.
Chris, now 22, set upon the star during a row in his rented Lambourghini on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
The fight ended their relationship and almost cost Chris his career.
He was placed on probation and initially banned from going within 100 yards of his ex.
But Rihanna, 24, is clearly ready to move on.
She called into Ryan Seacrest's LA radio show on Thursday to explain her decision to team up with Chris.
She said: "I reached out to him about doing Birthday Cake because that's the only person that really... it made sense to do the record.
"Just as a musician — despite everything else — that was going to be the person."
She added: "I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown.
"So I wanted him on the track."
And the rumour mill is already swirling with gossip the pair are planning a romantic reunion as well.
Over the weekend Rihanna tweeted the lyrics to a Beres Hammond song, in an apparent hint to fans.
The post read: "When they see me with you, wonder what the crowd would say? When they find us together, what will all the people say?"
Rihanna Gets Fresh Cross Tattoo on Her Collarbone
Just happened a few hours ago, Rihanna got herself another tat, this time on the collarbone and courtesy of legendary tattoo artist and close personal friend "Bang Bang" of the eponymous bang bang, New York city tattoo parlor.
According to Bang Bang, the cross holds special meaning to Rihanna. It looks especially painful now, but that is the price you pay for permanence.

Chris Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran living in fear of Rihanna’s fans
Chris Brown’s girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, is said to be so fearful of Rihanna’s fans, that she refuses to leave the house without bodyguards. Reportedly, the “Rude Boy” singer’s fans began to take things a little to the left after Rih-Rih posted a picture last week of a bag of rice cakes “wearing” sunglasses with the caption, ‘Ima a make u my b*tch’, which was allegedly aimed at Karrueche. According to TMZ:
“…several of Rihanna’s fans took the joke one step too far — unleashing an avalanche of violent threats on Karrueche … like ‘I hope Rihanna beat the dog shit outa yo ass!’ … ‘Watch yo back’ … and ‘I will kill you.’
Rihanna never admitted the rice cake jab was directed at Karrueche — but sources close to Karrueche tell TMZ, she now refuses to leave her house without Chris Brown’s hired muscle by her side.
As for Karrueche’s infamous BF — we’re told CB is 100% supportive of his new lady … despite getting close with Rihanna recently … and is urging her not to worry.”
I know ol’ girl may be a little caught up in Breezy’s celebrity, but between his getting closer to Rihanna and the threats on her life, I would say no one, no matter how big of a celebrity they are, is worth that much drama!!

Mo'Hits Officials Respond To D'banj's Claim That He Owns Mo'Hits
For over 24 hours now, the excerpts from the interview D'banj had with Ebony Magazine in which he said he owns Mo'hits records and Don jazzy is his artist has dominated the media, but A Mohits Official said;
My name is Ricardo and I am an Officer of Mohits.
This article is taken out of context and I was there during the interview. In no way would Dbanj ever Disrespect his partnership with Don Jazzy by calling him his artist or vice versa , they are partners in an entity. I ask that the writer clarifies his article .
Thank you
His Media/personal Manager also said:
Hello "D'banj never had any such statement with Ebony magazine during the interview he did with them. We are in touch with the editor of the magazine on these and a correctional rejoinder will be published soonest..
Mohits Records is co-owned by Don Jazzy and D'banj
Thanks, Bankuli"

D'banj tells Ebony Magazine he owns Mo’ Hits
EBONY.com sat down with the African musician who joined Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint in 2011 to chat about adjusting to America, being a “machine” and working with Chicago’s “crazy genius.'
On Sunday (Feb. 19), fans from as far away as Maryland packed into New York City’s Irving Plaza to see D’banj, Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeat star in concert. The self-proclaimed “Kokomaster” hit the stage to screams and even fainting, as one woman sunk to the floor after D’banj touched her hand. Running through his three albums No Long Thing, Rundown Funk U Up and The Entertainer including his international hit “Oliver Twist,” the MC born Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo commanded the stage with waist wines, glittering outfits and jokes about his “Koko,” also known as his manhood.
EBONY.com: How will you break into America’s entertainment scene?
D’BANJ: I’m bringing my culture, my music and preaching the gospel. We’ve been learning from America’s Hollywood scene and other areas in Africa because our continent is developing. We look up to the way you’ve built your industry and we try to do ours in the best that we know. It’s so good to see that Americans appreciate my music so that’s what I’m bringing, just original Africa.
EBONY.com: How did you join Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label?
D’BANJ: I had a concert in Dubai and when we pulled up to the airport’s first class lounge and a hostess ran up to me with a plaque with Kanye’s face on it, asking me to sign it. I said ‘I’m not Kanye West, I’m D’banj but Kanye West is coming? All eyes open.’ Then my manager spoke to Kanye, came back and told me ‘He’ll give you five minutes.’ I walked over -- as an African man I’m always prepared -- and I played my music ‘Stand Out,’ ‘Fall In Love’ and ‘Scapegoat’ for him on my iPod. Before we knew it, I’d almost missed my flight and he invited me to New York.
Coming from Africa I’m my own manager, I have my own label called Mo’ Hits with my artists Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy, D’Prince and K-Switch. I own Mo’ Hits and we’ve won numerous awards by the grace of God. Being with Kanye for the last eight months and me leading a successful label in Africa, I’ve learned a lot and I believe people will see what we’re going to do. I signed with Kanye in June and that same month I won the BET Award for Best International Act. My New York concert isn’t done by G.O.O.D. Music, it’s done by Live Nation, meaning I’m already a moving machine. So who better to introduce me to the global world than Kanye West, a crazy genius?
EBONY.com: What is your chemistry like in the studio with West?
D’BANJ: Kanye doesn’t try to change you. He has great ears and great people working with him. I learned the way people do music in America is different, number one, the budget. You don’t have to rush a song, you can take your time. I was glad because I have a studio in my home but I thought I was doing too much. I’ve been working with everyone else on G.O.O.D. Music too and John Legend and I worked together in London recently. It’s been great experience, I just beg people to listen with an open mind.

FRIENDS MOVE TO RECONCILE D’BANJ AND DON JAZZY
After nine years of collaborating and entertaining their fans worldwide, Mo’Hitsbosses Michael Collins aka Don Jazzy and Dapo ‘D’banj‘ Oyebanjo may soon be ending their hitherto ‘untouchable’ partnership.
Multiple sources say, following protracted disagreements, both parties may have reached a mutual agreement on ending their business partnership, although they haven’t come out to say anything to the public.
Reports, including that of Nigerian daily, The Vanguard, say Don Jazzy and D’banj’s relationship has gone terribly sour, with possibility of the acclaimed producer launching another label, which will see him have full authority and sole ownership. Don Jazzy currently co-owns Mo’Hits with D’banj. The pair formed the label in London after working out of JJC’s Backbone Music in 2004.

Unknown Kardashian sister dates, Mario Ballotelli’s younger brother
After a recent revelation that the infamous Kardashian children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert may have a 5th rather unknown sibling by the name of Emilia Morales, reports indicate that Emelia too has a soft spot for sportsmen.
Emilia Morales is currently in a romantic relationship with Enoch Barwuah, an Italian footballer. Enoch is the younger brother of the controversial footballer, Mario Ballotelli.
According to sources, Emilia is the 20 year old, 5th child of the famed Kardashian Siblings late attorney father, Robert Kardashian Snr. Emilia’s mother is thought to be a secretary from Ecuador whom Robert Snr met at work. This 20 year old sister of the famed siblings lives in Mitcham which is a situated in the south of London, England, a far cry from her siblings who live a life of luxury in California, America. Emilia is currently studying Aircraft Engineering at Kingston University whilst working part time.
Emilia will also be starring in a Reality Show based in London called ‘Keeping It South’. This show will be based on a group of friends daily lives, whereas Emilia’s siblings are famed for their show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ which is based on the Kardashian siblings and the Jenner family.
Popular Singer, Asa And Questionmark Battle Gets Messier
In February, internationally renowned Nigerian singer Bukola ‘Asa’ Elemidethreatened to take legal action against her former record label QuestionMark Entertainment, for allegedly infringing on the singer’s trademark by ‘preparing to go into commercial production of a purported Asa music production’.
Despite the warning, the record label has gone ahead to produce and release a 10 track album containing the musician’s songs.
The album, which is titled ‘Down on Me‘ and features former Questionmark actSilver Saddih has already hit the streets and is being sold for N150. Some of the songs contained on the CD appeared on her debut ‘Asa‘, while others are alternate versions.
Asa, in a swift reaction, called the record a ‘dubious album released by criminals to dupe people’.
‘My name & Photo has been used on a dubious album released by criminals to dupe people, Pls be informed its not a new album! Pls RT thanks‘, Asa tweeted.
‘Unfortunately we blame it on the Alaba Market but it’s not from them but from Question mark entertainment! pls pass on this message! Thanks!‘, she continued.
When NET placed a call to the distribution company in charge of the albumMACKINGS Limited, they were dismissive and refused to address the issue. ‘Please Asa should go somewhere, I don’t have time for this abeg‘, one Kingsley Benson, a company official said.
NET also tried reaching Questionmark’s official phone number but the line was not available.
‘I am passionate about my music, I have received death threats from these people, I have kept my head up and focused on giving my best always‘, Asa said.
The artist has been battling the record label, owned by Kevin Luciano-Gabriel since 2006, over a pending production deal that had her tied to the label.
